Before and A.F.T.E.R

at this hour ( 8.00pm), after done with my prayer, i will go out with friends to have dinner together.But now, i prefer to go down and buy the food and run back to my laptop : having dinner while surfing the internet.

i used to hang out with friends during weekend. We prefer to go somewhere like the malls,spend time together and laugh about stupid things. But now, i prefer to spend my weekend just at home, while surfing the internet and laugh about stupid things with friends over the Facabook.

I used to go back to my hometown, spend most of my time with my parents and siblings. But now, whenever i go back to my parent's house, i will spend half of my day in my room, surf the internet ( facebooking, Googling, or watch videos on youtube).

And before, i move a lot, now, i move a little..for instance, i will go to the shop to buy newspaper,but now, i just read the news online..and when i wanna topup my handphone, i will just reload via online banking..and whenever i miss my mom, i went to her,but now,i will just send her a text message or give her a simple phone call.

The me before and the me after. But i believe, this stuff not just on me..i do believe that most of the people out there is having the same experience just like me.

The relationship and the social life have turned into something 'technological'. The technology really has give a huge impact on people's life and have changed the traditional kind of way to a new kind of way.

However, despite of all these, human is still human. There is a need of belonging and need for love. Yes, technology can bring us all closer and always get us connected with each other..but to me, technology can never replace the warmth of mom's hand and the real feeling of being with a family and friends.

Technology is helping a lot, but some other things actually should better be as it always be =)

The thing about FACEBOOK

Facebook. Another form of technology that have changed the world.People are now addicted to this and it has become a phenomena since few years back. Before i registered an account with Facebook, i actually into Friendster while most of my other friends were into Myspace. But then now, we are all into Facebook!

I wonder, what actually make this Facebook something that so addictive. Then, i think the best answer that i can give is the look. Yup, the look of Facebook is simple. Most of the people attention will go to the words posted in the Facebook, and not to the customized layout or design like Friendster and Myspace. Everyone in Facebook have the same layout and the same design. Hence, despite of all that messy and sometime undefined layout, we can focus more on the words and thoughts.

2nd thing is, Facebook always notify us when someone replied to our comments, someone post a comment on our status or like our photos. This is something that we really like as we want to be told when someone is actually give feedback and respond.

In short, the best thing about Facebook is, it is free and has become a medium for people to say about lot of things and share about lot of things. This is also another reason why Facebook is something addictive ; it help people to release stress!

My experience : When i do my assignments, I will on my Facebook and still check for new notifications and reply to comments and status..Even when I am going to sit for a paper next in the morning, I still will go to my Facebook. Even while im adding entry on this blog, I also on my Facebook and replied to comments and leave some comments on friend's status.

Social network actually is a new form of having a social life;Meeting,chatting, keep in touch and updated with people, VIRTUALLY =)

The F.U.T.U.R.E

the future is not for us to see but im sure that the future is predictable.

we can predict the future. Looking at the advance of technology where things are mostly done in a matter of minute,more and more things are overtaken by the technolgy such as tracking inventory and building stuff. Before, we use people to count the inventory manually and people to assemble stuff, but nowadays, by using the RFID and Barcode technolgy, the inventory can be counted without the present of human being and car can be manufactured by using the automated machines.

Technology really make our life better and better.

However, looking at the rapid changes in technology like in the mobile phone industry, it actually cause something that is a bit scary for me.

people are addicted to this kind of gadget and try to get the latest model and the best model. Therefore, when there are more and more models coming out in the market. people will get it and wanna be the first to own it.

What concern me is, what will happen to the old model which actually just came out in the market 3 months ago? does it mean that, the product life cycle of the phone is going to be short and short?.Then in the future, the volume of production have to be reduced and people have to spare some money just to ensure that they can buy the latest phone model?

is it a good thing or is it not?

Is it IMPORTANT?

why is it so important for us to know about technology and the management of the information technology?

The most important thing that we should know here is, technolgy is part of our life and we cant live in a day without using technology. For instance, we build things using technology, we scan items using technology,we register our subjects online, we transfer money online,we purchase stuff online and many more.We even request more and more from technolgy so that our life gets easier.

When we know what is it all about, then only we know what is the thing that actually we are looking at and facing.

Therefore, when technology is part of us, we must manage the technology in a well manner so that it can be used in the right way and do bring benefits to us.

The B.A.S.I.C stuff

IT stands for Information Technology.It is an area of managing the technology that include hardware, software, information system and programming languages.

When we talk about IT, first thing that gonna get into our mind is COMPUTER..or laptop..Nowadays we are using this stuff more than other things in this world..especially for students.

I still remember few years back when Cyber Cafe was sometning 'in'. Means, we can see cyber cafes everywhere. When i was doing my diploma, i spent a lot of my time there just to work on my assignments. but then, i realized that i cant actuallty spend much of my time there, therefore, i decided to ask my parents to buy me a laptop, so that i can work on my assignments at home or hostel.

But at that time, laptop is considered as something luxury. PC was cheaper but i think i should go for the laptop as it is lighter and mobile.

However, since i need to surf the internet to look for information, then i decided to get myself internet connection so that i can use my laptop to surf for information.

Thank God my parents were willing to buy me a laptop and definitely, lots of things managed to be done.Not just that, from having a laptop and internet connection, i get to learn a lot of new things without having me to go out of my room and just while laying on my bed..=)

MIS stands for : Management Information System..by looking at the meaning,we can tell that it is about a some kind of system to manage the information...erm,sounds simple right?

Here in this blog, i will share things that relate to MIS and things like technology, information system and etc.
